The Ozarks Region is fly fishable 12 months a year and we chase fish every month of the year. That experience provides our customers with reliable first-hand knowledge whether you're chasing Trout, Smallmouth, Largemouth, Stripers, White Bass, Hybrids, Carp... The list is long... We've even been known to chase a Gar or two.
Our pro staff extends from Arkansas to Mid-Central Missouri, so if we don't know it, we can usually find out.

Hey I am the owner here at Plateau!
I grew up around the Branson area with most of my time in the woods or on the water. I started tying crappie jigs when I was around 12 years old. The addiction only grew from there!
I bought the shop in 2021 which has been a huge challenge, but I try everyday to make the shop grow! I have big dreams for the shop and hope to see you in the store!
I've spent a lot of time on on our local waters as well as Colorado waters. There's something new to learn each day so feel free to ask anytime you see me!

Sam was crazy enough to let me buy the shop.. She probably regrets that now lol
Sam grew up around Carthage where she started her nursing career, as well as where she met me working on the ambulance.
Sam is very new to fishing and has not gotten to spend as much time as she would like on the water. She has had some very fun experiences traveling with me fishing. She looks forward to getting out on the water to see if she can catch a bigger fish than me. Sam is in the shop from time to time helping out. Be sure to give her a hard time if you see her!
Ryan Ursino
Ryan “Mickey” Ursino, Assistant manager, is a homegrown native of Southwest Missouri with over 20 years of fly-fishing experience in the beautiful waterways of the Ozarks. He truly has a passion for the sport and loves to take time for sharing knowledge and telling stories about “the one that got away.” When he’s not out fishing, you’ll probably find him at the shop or riding around the city in fire trucks. Ryan is also very knowledgeable in the art of fly tying and materials. Having completed courses in insect entomology from Purdue University, this has proven to be very helpful in identifying various insect hatches and their life cycles. This knowledge also directly contributes to achieving accurate representations of the insects when he’s behind the tying vise.
“Mickey” takes great pride in helping others. His number one goal at the shop is to provide the best customer experience possible whether it’s a first-time tying lesson, tuning your cast, outfitting new gear for the adventure, or helping your friends and family make new memories fly-fishing.
